Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
From 1st July 2022 onwards, the firms of Newpark Law and Grace Solicitors are operating as a limited liability partnership, under the name Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney. We are authorised by the Legal Services Regulatory Authority to operate, from that date, as a limited liability partnership under the Legal Services Regulation Act, 2015. This was a change in status only, not the creation of a new firm or new partnership.
From 1st July 2022, as set out in Section 123 the Legal Services Regulation Act, 2015, (subject to the exceptions listed therein), a Partner in Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland, has no personal liability for any debts, liabilities or obligations which are incurred for the purpose of carrying out the business of Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland (whether these are liabilities of Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland, of himself or herself, of another partner/member or partners or members in Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland or of any employee, agent or representative of Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland) and however such liability may arise.
The above relates only to the personal liability of partners and does not prevent or restrict the enforcement against the property of Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland of any debt, liability or obligation. The Partnership Act, 1890 (Ireland) applies to Grace Solicitors LLP, incorporating Gerald Meaney registered in Ireland to the extent that it is not inconsistent with Chapter 3 of Part 8 of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015.
